Vibes are really sucky at work. We got told yesterday (during a fun office event btw) that they’re breaking up our team for a really stupid reason and everyone is pretty upset about it. Leaders tried to do damage control after but it only made it worse. Not a great start to the weekend 😔

Just took on a pretty gargantuan project at work that I’m both very excited for and extremely nervous about.
If I nail this it’ll be a template that’s used for a significant amount of work across our firm going forward, and my team lead is super hyped to see what I come up with (no pressure) 😅

Folks if you usually do end-of-year/holiday charity giving, consider moving it up to the beginning of November instead and hit up however many local food pantries you can afford to give to. (Check if you or a spouse/partner's employer does charity matching, too.)
In short, we do not know exactly what will happen with November SNAP benefits if the shutdown continues, but we do know there will not be enough money available to fully fund everyone's EBT card.

Decided to work from home today bc the last two days have sucked and the weather is amazing today, and I’m gonna be mega depressed if I have to spend another 9 hours in a stuffy office building and miss all of it :)

It’s only been like 4 hours and I’ve already used up all my brain energy for the day doing a bunch engineering calculations (that I’m technically not qualified for but apparently I killed it?)
5+ hours left in the day, a couple meetings, and I forgot my energy drink at home help meeee orz

Been really hard on myself this week and it sucks. I’m in this crappy cycle where I don’t have enough energy after work to want to do my more active hobbies, so I relax at home instead. Which then makes me feel guilty for spending my free time how I want and not using it “productively” :P
