I for one am very proud of Albertans for the way they’re supporting the teachers. Remember that undermining the union harms kids as it decreases the labour rights (which impact income and job security) they’ll have in adulthood.

It's tempting to treat "the American right is a death cult" as rhetorical hyperbole, but when you look at e.g. their enthusiasm for executing people who are *clearly* innocent, no actually these people really do just worship and revel in death and murder

Per this lawyer, the mother of 3 US citizens, among others, has been abducted by “bounty hunters” at gunpoint, brought to CBP, where they demanded she sign deportation papers without seeing a judge.
When she refused, she was literally disappeared by the armed “bounty hunters” at the behest of CBP.

Conservatives are losing their excessively tiny minds over the idea of the Liberals, NDP, and Greens etc. forming a single party, saying that’s “undemocratic”, while forgetting the CPC is a merger of the Progressive Conservative and the Canadian Alliance parties.

i recently learned of a neat little theory of fascism that basically says its what happens when the earnestly duped petite bourgeoisie take over from the clear-eyed bourgeoisie and try to govern capitalism according to the conservative myths that the latter told the former to keep them in line
It's always remarkable to me that they might even believe their own nonsense, always thought that was just for the rubes.
