We take the environment and the earth for granted. But this is a careless approach. Just as good health is key to a good life, a healthy planet is key for a thriving population.

Whales play a big part in marine ecosystems. Whales feed in the nutrient rich, deep end of the ocean.

They then excrete the nutrients in shallow waters, which serves as fertilizer for phytoplankton.

Phytoplankton contributes to more than 50% of the oxygen in our atmosphere.

If we look at the world as an interconnected ecosystem, which it is, these trends of mass insect declines would be deeply concerning.
The reality is that we are are unable to understand the multi-order domino effects that these ecological effects entail.

The zebra is one of the most recognized animals. This is due in large part to their pattern. There are many explanations for their stripes: thermoregulation, confusing predators, deterring flies.
