It's not in this article but the government asserts that the sandwich was thrown at "point blank range", which implies subway sandwiches have defined effective weapon ranges of varying lethality, and I would like to see the government's chart of these ranges.

It's not in this article but the government asserts that the sandwich was thrown at "point blank range", which implies subway sandwiches have defined effective weapon ranges of varying lethality, and I would like to see the government's chart of these ranges.
I just cannot get on board with Christmas decorations on Nov 1. Not least because everyone on my TL doing it always have them fully down by dinner time the day after Christmas. Missing like....... almost all of Christmas.

My favorite thing about sports leagues (and tournaments, looking at you too) is not getting schedules until days before (or sometimes AFTER) the scheduled beginning of the season/tournament/event.
Our entire month is on hold thanks to schedule delays 🫠 and never mind December.....

It's never failed to amuse me that the only time in my life that I ever used a smart board was junior high. 25 years ago.
My kids have them in school, I have no clue how to use them. For decades I never saw them in my classrooms or anywhere I've worked.

Last week, J came home with a math test where she missed 1/2 pt on two different problems (she just wasn't paying attention). She also didn't do (or even try) the extra credit. I asked her why, she said because she did all the other problems.
This week, she got 16/15 on her math test.

I've already hit our family volunteer hours for school and yet decided it was a good idea to add basketball coach and cookie mom on top of troop leader and robotics volunteer. Because so very few parents (of hundreds of families) are willing to show up.

We had gifted programs. I was in them. I'm 38 🙃
What we also had: mixed classes, like 2nd/3rd, 3rd/4th, etc that were composed around student ability. I was always in the younger part of the class, but learning with the older group at their grade level.

Hard to think of a topic more tailor-made to the peculiarities of Bluesky's demographics than gifted kid discourse - seemingly everyone's a former gifted kid who's exactly 38 thus is likely to now have gifted kids of their own.
