A high effort doodle I did when I couldn't sleep. Been wanting to draw others' Null interpretations since forever. It's always fun to see others' take on the ship characters in Star Prov. All names are credited in alt text, or I'll hit the character limit.

The character is naked, but where the figure's heart would be, there is a bright red biomechanical core connected by tubes that go to the back of the skull. The torso has been flayed open, with flesh extending and flowing such that it looks like they have wings of flesh protruding from their torso, with some fragments seemingly flying off from their body. The wings are a pale red, with faint red lines suggesting arteries on the flesh wings. There are also some smaller flesh wings coming from their knees. Slightly below where the biomechanical core is, their ribcage extends from their torso, almost creating a crown shape on top of their abdominal muscles, with the core as the jewel at the top. Behind all this, and on top of them, you can see the figure of Monolith, the boss fight from the same game, looming over them. The implication is that this is a human representation of Null's transformation into the boss, with its large red core and extended wings visible behind them. It is quite similar in composition to the previous one, except that Monolith is not visible at the top, and the shading is rougher, with just lines of dark green and red. The figure is still facing the viewer, with wings of flesh made from flayed skin, the core where their heart would be, and a protruding ribcage almost like a crown. A halo with runes floats behind their head. The expression is also difficult to parse. Content warning: Blood and body horror. A digital illustration done in Procreate. It is also an interpretation of Null from "Star of Providence". This time, the viewer is looking at the character from behind, at an angle, so their back and the left side of their body is in directly in the line of sight. The figure has their head tilted back and turn to the side, so they are still facing the viewer, with one piercingly red eye, and red carvings on their face, with the halo of runes still hovering behind their head. Their arms are crossed in front of them, whether the stance is a defiant or defensive one, it is difficult to say. They are still displaying fleshy wings extended behind them, but as we can see their back, we also see a structure on their back, looking almost like bone, or perhaps a bionic implant, and it is also housing a core of some kind on their back. Their facial expression is still ambiguous.

I'm genuinely in #StarofProvidence hell with these superbosses. How I manage to reach them is beyond me. One I can defeat—the other... a work in progress.

What do you do when one feels creatively burnt out & unmotivated to do art? Play a nice, relaxing game of roguelike bullet hell.

I won't lie. I was shocked to achieve these feats, knowing that only a few percent of players managed to get them. Few more achievements to go... 🫠

I found an old #Cuphead #animation while reorganizing my folders. If I remember correctly, I tried to make a theme/parody with Cuphead dancing to the end credits of Blood Blockade Battlefront, "Sugar Song & Bitter Step."

Too overambitious & gave up. A lot of movement involved 💦
