Liam hangs around the New Forest, growing veggies, making jam and pickles while not cycling. Also want to get back into hosting #cheeseclub.
IT life is at @westleyl.bsky.social.
Many thanks to @katerusby.bsky.social who must have been exhausted for signing my quite old t-shirt to make the perfect ending to @beautifuldaysfest.bsky.social. Her band's finale of Underneath The Stars had me welling up good and proper.

Foraging haul in Lymington, 7kg mirabelle plums and 3kg of damsons. Mirabelles will become approx 12 jars of jam. Maybe some damson jam but will mainly freeze for crumbles.

I Would Love to Work With You
Like so many, I was laid off from Microsoft on May 13, 2025. Never good news, but life moves on and I'm still fired up to do fun things with the right group of people.

Had a proper feast at Billy's Burgers and Bar in Hobart for their triple patty, double bun, 'the beast'. Knife and fork unavoidable.
Bonus points for having Sasparilla too.

Major deja vu. Same programme, different bank. Ten years ago, RBS (www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b...) - tonight looks like Lloyd's was doing the same to small businesses.
Both were bailed out by UK taxpayers and part owned by the government, and the bankers still acted like complete shits.

BBC One - Panorama, Did the Bank Wreck My Business?
Andrew Verity meets entrepreneurs who say the bailed-out banks wrecked their businesses.

Great day for a 75km tour of some glorious gravel paths in the New Forest, including cycling along an old railway track bed, where you can still see a platform, and rails buried beneath a road.

Cycling through Roydon Woods and finally snapped a Brimstone butterfly, which have been accompanying me on all my recent rides.

On a cycle passed Sway Tower - the tallest structure in the world to be built from non-reinforced concrete. No metal helping support it.

Cycle to Beaulieu Farm Shop on quieter roads that included a horse enjoying pond weed.
Couldn't leave the shop without some Dexter beef short ribs and what looks like awesome pork crackling.
