@adamcsharp.bsky.social do you have any other terms for "like taking candy from a baby" in various languages or cultures?

I know there's a person on here who shares related idioms across many languages, but I can't find them, so please if you know, either tell me their handle, or tell me how whatever cultures and languages you're familiar with say "easy as taking candy from a baby." TIA!

@halseanderson.bsky.social didn't really need to be sobbing on my front porch this morning, but Rebellion, 1776 did me in. Gotta say I love a middle grade book that doesn't pull any punches. So good.

"This one simple trick will save your eyes," I grumble to myself as after several hours of doomscrolling I remember to put on my computer glasses so the words will actually be in focus.

I think this is extraordinary: the most recent Democratic Presidential nominee thinks our political system is broken and not strong enough to defend our most fundamental principles.

We have to understand that this crisis is bigger than one person, or one party--it's the entire system.
Kamala Harris on Colbert: "Recently I decided, I don't want to go back into the system. I think it's broken."

"I always believed our systems would be strong enough to defend our most fundamental principles. Right now, I don't think they're as strong as they need to be.

I am stuck in a German hospital for several days. My friend's husband loaned me one of his precious issues of Asimov's Science Fiction. Molly Gloss's short story Wápato is simply lovely. Makes me wonder if she and LeGuin were friends. #booksky 📚💙

Me, a 56 year old woman with a horrifying foot infection as I'm briskly wheeled down a hall by the German orderly, softly to myself: wheeeee
