685,000 NYPD stops on the predicate of collecting guns. Only 2% produced weapons. 85% of stops involved Black & Latino men. 3 terms with Bloomberg. Now these same wealthy New Yorkers insist that young & working class voters defer to the alleged “superior” judgment of the millionaires & billionaires.
The hundreds of thousands of Black & Latino men who were subjected to stop-and-frisk did not have the option to “leave NYC.” They endured the reign of Bloomberg - the beloved choice of elite New Yorkers - who even supported changing the law to give Bloomberg a 3rd term.

Pet theory: It's because the process of assigning a gender to someone within patriarchy is just deeply violent, whether you're cis or trans, and the second they have to think about trans people's assigned genders being non-consensually imposed upon them, they realize theirs were, too.

They are literally incapable of describing anything they oppose that even vaguely sounds like it’s something that happened in the last 40 years. Just reliving the trauma they experienced at seeing two Black students in their freshman college class in 1971.
