Finally, a long-lasting topic has been addressed by AWS: The ability to do a password reset on root logins for Organization member accounts, as well as remove existing credentials, has been launched. Just activated it in my private org: aws.amazon.com/about-aws/wh...

BIG new release: AWS introduces Resource Control Policies (RCPs), allowing you to set the maximum resource policies across your organization. For example: S3 Buckets can only be accessed from whitelisted orgs. Security will love this!

Wir sollten den Preis fürs Deutschlandticket einfach an den Preis fürs Anwohnerparken koppeln, dann würde das Ticket meist zwischen 10-30€ kosten, der Preis wäre über Jahrzehnte stabil & sobald jemand eine Erhöhung fordert, gäbe es einen kollektiven Aufschrei über die angebliche "Abzocke der Bürger“

Die Durchsage im Zug, die Abfahrt habe sich erheblich verspätet, weil man einer Person im Rollstuhl beim Einstieg helfen musste, ist eine Bankrotterklärung der gesetzlichen Barrierefreiheit in Form einer Schuldzuweisung an die einzige Person, die tatsächlich nichts für die Verspätung kann.

You can now transfer ZFS snapshots to another filesystem in another AWS Region or account.

This helps you to prepare disaster recovery plans by transfering incremental snapshot copies to other regions or accounts.

I ran into the best example of monitoring vs. observability the other day.

On the left; CloudWatch metrics. It shows a large gap between min and max Lambda duration, but it doesn't tell me why.

On the right; the same data, grouped by "has_search_query". And now I understand.
