I’m digging Opus 4.5 as a personal assistant for taking down and organizing my thoughts and research. Ive tried with other models but they tend to want to fluff what I say way too much and take off on trying to compete the ideas. Then they give you a a wall of text as a response.

I realized I’ve been learning how to best leverage AI for development for over 14 months. Things have come a long way from trying to get Codium to generate tests to where I rarely write more than a few corrections manually. Using Code Puppy with custom agents has unlocked a much more advanced flow.

started using @obsid.md to get out of my head, start taking notes, and get organized. I now have an awesome paring of Obsidian and Code Puppy. I created an agent that is my personal vault assistant and it’s been amazing so far. The terminal plugin means I can work out of obsidian too!

I really want to see less people use the term 'vibe coding' and use something more accurate like agentic pair programming. I mean vibe coding is absolutely a thing, but when I see industry people embracing the term 'vibe coding' or 'vibe engineering' it makes me cringe.

I really enjoyed using Windsurf and Cursor. Both are great, but my new favorite is Code Puppy. I’m using our in-house version, but it has also been open sourced! github.com/mpfaffenberg... The ability to create custom agents with ease and agents able to call agents unlocks a powerful workflow!

One task I consistently see Windsurf and Cursor struggle with is moving file locations. Cleaning up a project with a common and shared folder and both shit the bed. I tried GPT 5 high, Sonnet 4, even Opus 4.1 failed. To be fair:

I've been using @windsurfai.bsky.social for over 3 months and love it. I now also have access to @cursor.com.web.brid.gy and there haven't been any huge differences until now. Cursor actually respected the rule to not mindlessly agree and told me that I was wrong when making a clarifying prompt.

"Documentation for LLMs" is brilliant. Even though agents can access the internet it's incredibly helpful to be able to just download a local copy for agent reference.

Documentation for LLMs | PixiJS
PixiJS supports the llms.txt convention for making documentation accessible to large language models (LLMs) and the applications that utilize them.

Taking a break from exploring AI to dig into a good old fashion tutorial :)

Why am I not hearing more about @windsurfai.bsky.social

I dug into it last night and I'm extremely impressed so far. I leverage LLM tools heavily for documentation and planning.
I took a project that is stable and started planning it from scratch with Windsurf. For this purpose it is killing it!

I pulled out my Roland System-1m this morning for the first time in a long time. I was very pleased how quickly I got back into a flow with it. I need to prioritize making time for music.

This album is just amazing. Every time I reach for it I fall in love again. This is not a genre of music I reach for often, but this album pulls me in.

I love that feeling of looking at something I just finished working on and really feeling like it’s my personal best. Of course, future me will curse the author of this code then Git Blame will smack me in the face.

My kid wants to get into making experiences in Roblox and has asked for some help. Digging into Roblox Studio tonight to learn a little about making UI for experiences and I am super impressed with the "Assistant" feature they have. The answers so far have been accurate and very helpful.

I really enjoyed this video on reusable components by @housecor.com
This is a topic I am really starting to dive into. Requirements are always changing, but mindfully planning, building, and documenting what can be reusable can save time and improve DX.

Registered a domain today. Guess it’s time to figure out what goes into getting my custom @ the stuff I’ve seen at a glance makes it seem fairly simple.

Accidentally stayed up all night exploring TanStack Router. I am really loving it so far.

Can someone confirm for me that when using AG Grid Enterprise with server side data source I would not utilize TanStack Query for the data source. That would be redundant due to AG Grid’s features like caching, right?

I’m doing advent of code for the first time this year. I wonder how long it would take to solve the first challenge with pencil and paper…

I’m really loving the combination of Vite, TanStack Router, and TanStack Query. Will probably add Zustand to the mix as well.

Came across this blog post at a great time. I've been feeling very insecure about my depth of knowledge in some areas.

I try remind myself of this concept often:
"There’s plenty of things that I can do well. For example, learning technologies when I need them."
