What happens in a country that has insufficient inward migration and a massively declining birth rate (as many, including the UK, are now at risk of having)? The FT has the answer in the case of Japan...

BARONESS Mone, complaining about "The Establishment". We are so through the looking glass at this point. What's next, King Charles complaining about the Elites?

Beautiful old place to stop for a minute. Dramatic skies though.

Daughter now working on an artist study in acrylics. She puts so much effort into her art, I'm glad I encouraged both of them to study what they enjoyed.

Currently reading this. I adore short fiction, it gets mistreated really. It's where my love of genre fiction started, in dusty old pulps I found in dusty old shops and later in magazines like Interzone and Black Static.

@pfracassi.bsky.social gets short fiction

Popped back to the cursed place. An endless wall of bile.

My 14yr old daughter working with coloured pencils. Not sure how two science parents have raised two artists... Though I probably should have taken art, I was being sensible rather than doing what I loved.

Breaking news. Continental cheese added to list of foods that are woke.

Boo hiss Gen Z and their fancy olives or something!

Also WTF is wrong with this “newspaper”. Answers on a non-woke postcard.

Can't even mention this on the cursed place without endless comments about how our summer was bad, or that it's raining. We will feel the effects of this in the UK, both directly with extreme weather and less directly eventually with crop failure and migration.

Slightly amused that the people scared of clouds haven't moved to the platform called Bluesky.

I'd say about 70% of my X feed is people shouting at contrails or clouds now.

I’m not going to leave X just yet - I hate that sense of being driven away from a place I used to love. But after one day on here, I already know how much prefer it.

So if you see this and would be kind enough to share it to let people find me, that would be hugely appreciated. Thank you.
