After I read the second sentence of this article I knew I shouldn’t continue reading. But I kept reading anyway and it just got dumber with each paragraph.

BREAKING: MLS owners have voted and passed a schedule change. The league will run from the late summer months through May.
This is due to start in summer of 2027. MLS will take winter break in Jan/Feb

Once again politics raises its ugly head and I am left off the squad simply because I am old, fat, and can’t play.

I love that Epicurious puts the recipes for common/public domain things behind their paywall just like they do their standard recipes.

To be fair, if someone suggested it to me today I would still think they were insane.
Lost in the burrito taxi discourse is that before like 10-15 years ago you were only expected to order in pizza, Chinese or Indian food. If you suggested that someone should deliver McDonalds to your house they would've thought you were insane.

To be fair, if someone suggested it to me today I would still think they were insane.
I firmly believe that in these “put an Ultra on it” commercials the bet is that the loser has to drink an Ultra while the winner gets to have a good beer.

Are there any chefs out there that can confirm for me whether it is physically impossible to make a beet salad without adding goat cheese? If you try to do that, will some sort of demon materialize in your kitchen and engulf the earth with unholy flame?

After reading the bit on “Oké” in her book ‘Taal is zeg maar echt mijn ding’ my girlfriend (another good section in that book) and I spent an evening out at dinner where about half of our conversation was just “OK” said with different intonations.

I found an old browser tab still open to Clearsky & decided to take a look at my blocking list. I was surprised to find out that nine people blocked me almost exactly six months ago. I took a look and the most controversial post I made that day was this one. I guess some people _really_ hate Garber.
Lots of people are going to howl about this, but like most things Garber says about the game/MLS, there’s a huge hunk of truth behind it.
