ProTip: If you are installing/trying live Linux on an Intel-based iMac, plug cheap headphones in before starting up! Ubuntu MATE just scared the hell out of me by putting the volume up at full blast when playing the Welcome chime. 😳

Here it is again with the correct drawing number. It's honestly not that big of a mistake but these go up on Insta as well. :)

And I just realized I numbered my 7th daily artwork incorrectly as the 6th. 😂 I'll issue a corrected version tomorrow.

So I've returned to drawing, and here is tonight's work! Third in a hopefully continuing daily drawing routine. I'll post the other two tomorrow morning!

Turns out that HP Mini laptop has a rather ancient Intel Atom processor, an N270... single core 2-thread and 32-bit only. That limits what modern Linux I can install on it.

So I'm going to attempt to install a retro version of Ubuntu of the era, since they keep old software repos online.

So I found a little HP Mini netbook at the pawn shop for 20 bones today. Hoo boy... I'm in for quite a night of exploration and restoration!

I ultimately plan on installing Debian on this solely for Linux stuff. But wow... remember when you could install third-party toolbars in your browser? 😂

Had a minor scare refreshing MacOS today via the Erase Assistant. Halfway through, the Ventura recovery assistant started up! 😮 Rebooted to try to start Internet Recovery, but the Tahoe re-install finished up like nothing happened! Everything is back to normal now! 😁

I still think Nintendo missed out on a BIG opportunity with Virtual Boy. Remember the 3DS? VB would have been perfect on 3DS Virtual Console.
