There will be a reckoning and justice will be done. The sheer volume of prosecutable acts by senior government officials is staggering. It is an encyclopedia of lawlessness.
New Justice Department filings reveal that it was Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem who chose to defy a federal court order by transferring more than 100 Venezuelan men into Salvadoran custody to be imprisoned.

Cool. Put Speaker Johnson on the list of elected officials who seemingly do not believe in the US Constitution. His district constituents should be informed of this. Reminding service members to follow their oaths is not treason. Why would Speaker Johnson or others think otherwise?
House Speaker Johnson thinks it’s “wildly inappropriate” for Democrats to tell troops to obey the U.S. Constitution, but he wasn’t the slightest bit concerned about President Trump’s threat to execute the lawmakers. trib.al/PS2VdLI

"if they will vote for trump, maybe I am NOT too crazy to be president."
Axios says Ted Cruz has started positioning himself for a 2028 White House bid. So that’s him and Marjorie Taylor Greene so far. Should be quite the 🤡 show.

racist, misogynist, bigoted, drooling half-wit with rapidly declining mental acuity is our president... and some willingly coddle him for their own personal gain. this is some operatic evil underway.
“Quiet Piggy!”

This is what an American President says to journalists whose questions he doesn’t like.

What class!

Such dignity!

Much gravitas!

Doesn’t it make you proud?

while it would be heartening to believe they stayed united out of a sense of value and purpose, the repubs didn't need any dem house votes. had they needed some, the corp owners of some dems would have demanded they capitulate. just like the senate.
Even though spineless Senate Democrats caved, the overwhelming majority of House Democrats followed @hakeem-jeffries.bsky.social’s lead to keep fighting and oppose this scam of a bill. Thank you to Leader Jeffries and every Democrat who stood together and stayed true to our values.

the oligarchs intend to break democracy and create a feudal state. in that society of lords and vassals, lords have the latitude to do what they want.
A reminder that the Epstein files aren't a distraction from the oligarchy. They're an integral part of it.
A reminder: The perpetrators in the Epstein files are Oligarchs, and so are the ones protecting them.
November 13, 2025 at 2:01 AM
this sets up her changing her mind on her support to release the files. the depravities that maga is will to engage in and overlook in order to use this hollow immoral compromised shit-bag of a president to advance their own agendas...
Apparently now Epstein is the distraction.

this is perhaps the kindest interpretation. the alternative is that they favor their own-lined pockets and they personally fear retribution from the federal government if they do not obey.
seems to me that those democrats inclined not to fight perceive themselves as living through a somewhat ordinary cycle of presidential overreach and backlash and not something much more significant and dangerous
November 10, 2025 at 1:43 PM
it is a coordinated capitulation, wildly unpopular with the base, after a stunning set of results on Tuesday. the conclusion once again is that their own pocketbooks lined by special interests are far more important to them than the voters that they purport to represent.
The coordinated nature of this—none are facing voters in 2026—means that either Schumer approved it or failed in his job as Senate Majority Leader to stop it.

Dems voting "no" get zero credit until they demand a change in leadership. Schumer out as Leader, Durbin out as Whip.
so currently defectors are:

Kaine (2030)
Shaheen (Retiring)
Hasan (2028)
Fetterman (2028)
Durbin (Retiring)
CCM (2028)
Rosen (2030)
King (2030)
November 10, 2025 at 4:58 AM
@schumer.senate.gov no longer has the goods to be leader. he's failed. the overwhelming majority of voters do not support capitulation. did the others who caved give him cover to vote "no"? epic misreading of the base. the republicans are laughing at you.
Senator Schumer is no longer effective and should be replaced. If you can’t lead the fight to stop healthcare premiums from skyrocketing for Americans, what will you fight for?
November 10, 2025 at 4:39 AM
usually, I support compromise and moderation to get a deal done. These are not usual times. you don't compromise with fascists. primary every dem senator who caves. read the room, you weak-kneed self interested "leaders"... we resist authoritarianism and oligarchy. we don't cooperate with them.
Every single Democratic senator that votes to cave on this should be immediately ejected from the party, and the national party should immediately start running primary candidates in their districts.

There is no bipartisanship possible with traitors and fascists. You either fight, or die.

This is it. I was one of those poor rural white guys. It was a good book and accounting of that. And then he sold himself.
Shapiro: He rose to some prominence by writing a book about growing up in Appalachia, where there are a whole lot of people who get SNAP. He made millions of dollars off telling their stories, and then he turned his damn back on those very people he likes to write about and claim as his own.

this is a real PROFILES IN COURAGE moment for Kennedy. trump looks like he doesn't know where he is or what is happening. I don't think any of them will get out of the new bunker as quickly as jr. got out of the office here.

that is not just excessive force. excessive force occurs when LE uses non-reasonable force to address a threat to them. this is an unprovoked blind side attack on a lawful protester. this is a clear cut violation of the law and human rights. the LE action is indefensible. justice is coming.
Excessive force. PERIOD!

They called them “violent mobs,” but the violence came from the guys with badges and body armor.

it cannot be reformed or revised. it is structurally evil, unconstitutional, and staffed top to bottom with untrained mouth-breathing knuckle dragging thugs. we need immigration and customs enforcement as a function. this ain't the org to achieve that under the rule of law.
I don’t know how many times I’ve watched this video.

I don’t know how we’ve gotten to the point where men in full balaclavas can abduct daycare teachers while they’re watching children.

But I do know that this isn’t sustainable. Abolish ICE. There is no way to reform this.

AOC 100%

fascism is antithetical to our constitutional republic. it cannot be reasoned with. it must be completely demolished in the marketplace of ideas.
AOC: We have a future to fight for, and we're either going to do that together or you're going to be left behind. It's not about Progressive. It's not moderate, it's not liberal. This is about do you understand the assignment of fighting fascism right now? And the assignment is you come together…

one does wonder if this is about proper med adjustment, but it is enjoyable.

rendition, secret prisons abroad, gitmo, "enemy combatants", sanctioned torture... they created their own new novel legal basis to justify their acts. ... without consequences... maga doesn't even bother with the illusion of legality. it is a straight line from then to now.
Guys it’s easy to say Dick Cheney should’ve been prosecuted for war crimes. But you’re forgetting one thing. If we start prosecuting people for war crimes, people in the future might get scared about doing war crimes and hesitate before committing war crimes!

I don't know why they are all in such a hurry to meet their maker. It won't go the way they had hoped. "Wait, what?" ... eternal damnation ensues.

All the coverage of this mayoral race is unavoidable even for those of us who live far away from NYC. The core learning ought to be the stuff listed by Beschloss and not whether he can be labeled as a progressive or socialist or whatever. A good person with good intentions is a good candidate.
What can Dems learn from Mamdani?
1. He is an authentic human.
2. He cares about people.
3. He has a sense of humor.
4. He focuses on econ inequality.
5. He rejects corporate politics.
6. His policy proposals & messaging are laser-focused on affordability.

would Biden have been replaced if this guy and other notables didn't clutch their pearls about Biden's mental state? Kamala was and is a well qualified competent elected official- blaming it on her sucks. I would have voted for Biden's head in a jar before trump. Clooney owns his actions.
He can kick all the rocks.

hakeem thinks this because he thinks that the establishment dems can get only a little pregnant accepting donations from vile special interests that do not care about democracy or actively oppose it. his views are what his owners want him to say. he tells himself otherwise. I've been there. #resist

All those 2A absolutists are exposed. They didn't really give a shit about tyranny or big government... as long as the guv'mint hates the same people they hate.

some of them may figure it out, after it is too late. where are all the "states' rights" bitches now?
