Huge love to Third Place Books for adding Snowman to their shelves at both Lake Forest Park and Seward Park shops. I have stars for eyes right now that the book is now a few feet away from where I got a pic with @chucktingle.bsky.social on his Lucky Day tour!

Just caught up on the new "Welcome to Derry" show, based on @stephenking.bsky.social's "It" and purportedly a prequel series to the part 1 and 2 movie adaptions.

😳 Huh. Well... I no longer feel self-conscious about the first few chapters of "Snowman" now.

This is informative AF. I've seen a lot of review-bombing for genre works written by trans authors that made me wonder if we even read the same book. This gets to the crux of it all and I can't wait to get to Wrath Goddess Sings in my way-too-long TBR list.

I'm starting to work with an artist for the paperback cover of Snowman, coming in June '26! Why am I just as much excited as when the book first came out?

A: Because he's amazing! LOL!

On its 4th anniv, I'm reposting for bsky my most popular Twitter thread: a defense of the "inactive protagonist," which birthed the essay below, in exactly the way it was written.

But first I need to contextualize how and why it was written.

What is your horror movie trope that absolutely drives you bonkers?

For me, it's when a character's in a tense moment and another character puts a hand on their shoulder from behind. I mean, who touches someone before announcing their presence??? It's a jump scare that's never made any sense to me.
