So, this made me think of something Chuck Schumer said in an interview, that some Republicans will talk to him at the senate gym to tell him what they “really think.” 1/2

I’ve long argued that American conservativism is a cynical, hypocritical movement with no real goal other than harming immigrants and stripping women of fundamental rights. Here is yet another example, this is far more concerning than anything Hillary Clinton did, but they won’t care…

This was one of the most interesting movies I’ve seen. I was physically in pain thinking of the ethics of what they were doing throughout the movie. Some of the most thoughtful Sci Fi since District 9, it looks like it’s not doing well in ticket sales but Mickey 17 is very much worth seeing!

@nytpitchbot.bsky.social has someone done a “this is Newsome’s Sister Soulja moment” yet?
Gov. Gavin Newsom declared that he "completely aligned" with anti-LGBTQ Charlie Kirk on opposing trans women in sports, he opposed medically necessary transition care for prisoners, and he agreed with Kirk that trans youth treatment "should be off limits": www.erininthemorning.com/p/ca-gov-gav...

I liked this film! It felt a bit more like a sequel to the Ed Norton Hulk movie, as it was continuing a lot of those storylines and Captain America just happened to be there. I thought that made it interesting, Harrison Ford gave it the feel of Tom Clancy movie in the MCU, definitely worth seeing!

Desiree and I watched this last night, the costumes, sets, and fight scenes were really cool, the story itself fell a bit flat for me, the only character I found at all interesting was Denzel’s. Meh movie overall…

People that oppose “solidarity, equality, and sustainability” aren’t the good guys. I think we’ve reached the place now where we, the USA, are the baddies, and contemplate what that means for us…

I have questions:
1) those that said Trump would take a more peaceful or isolationist stance, how do we see this playing out?
2) all those protesting Biden last year, are they really going to protest this or be okay with it?
3) this feels like Trail of Tears all over again, how to stop this?

The idea of the world’s richest man celebrating destroying funding to the most impoverished people on the planet, to the point he talks about throwing parties with that money, is just one pm more piece of evidence of the profound moral rot and sociopathy of Trump supporters cheering this on…

I can’t stand RFK Jr. but I’m sorry, putting some chewing tobacco in one’s mouth while being questioned to be the director of Health and Human Services is just hilarious. Like I broke out laughing when I read this!

Why is she the only Democrat I can see that seems to get it?
Yes, this administration is dangerous and cruel, but they are also shockingly dim and incompetent.

Opportunities are everywhere.

Make everything as hard as possible. Resist every demand. Refuse entry without a warrant. Don’t take the buyout. Their problem solving skills are 📉
