@wafisher.bsky.social and the team at @nyctransit.bsky.social have been doing a great job improving all the digital signs across the system. Having explanations here, and readable of why things are delayed is a great for straphangers.
Redesigned countdown clocks include a much improved alert screen function. It’s readable(!) and the key info is visible and present instead of scrolling across the bottom in a size 12 font.

Super impressed with the attention to detail in the new @nyctransit.bsky.social screens from @wafisher.bsky.social & team. Here at Chambers St the stairs for the E are around the corner, and for the 2,3 are to the right.

This is my first trip on @mta.info Subway seeing the new digital signage in full force. It’s accurate. It’s beautiful.

Service status messages are now persistent on one line of countdown clocks instead of the whole screen. Platform screens show position of shorter trains. It’s all so damn good! 🤩🤩🤩

Awesome to see @wafisher.bsky.social’s team’s work on the new UI for @mta.info platform screens being deployed widely!

The left screen has the new combined arrival times and service change display. The right screen has the dynamic map that changes for nights and weekends. It’s world class stuff.

I consulted on the product design for this project - so exciting to start seeing them in the wild! More accurate data and consistent design coming to all Subway station screens and countdown clocks.

Huge props to @wafisher.bsky.social and his team at MTA on getting these improvements out to riders.
Love this new display format!

The @mta.info Digital Services team is still growing! We’re looking for frontend software engineers.

We work on realtime screens in the subway and apps (like TrainTime).

If you love working on impactful projects with a smart, fast-moving team, this is your job.
