Such a bad take sorry. Every single actual expert on this is against the ban. There’s MH concerns, data security concerns and more. Yet you want to ban it for ‘vibes’.

It’s electioneering and nothing else, and comes with yet more stupid banning policies from the Aus gov. Grim
The House of Representatives in Australia passed a bill that would ban kids under 16 from social media.

It now goes on to their Senate.

Good for them.

We should do the same. Young kids don’t need to be on social media.

Embarrassing lightweight alert!

At PMQs, Badenoch - leader of the Opposition - tries to assert that a rightwing/Musk/foreign-bot-boosted online petition is reason to call a general election.

And in so doing, showily slides the grubby remnants of her credibility and dignity into the bin.

"Some jobs are productive and others less so," says Kemi Badenoch, whose own job has involved trying to start a culture war with autistic children, calling for civil servants to be locked up, and attempting to start an online spat with Doctor Who

What I find funny is that outside of asking farmers to pay HALF as much inheritance tax as normal people, and calling some people burning down mosques racists, not that much has actually happened under Kier Starmer, yet they’ve whipped themselves up into such a wild frenzy. Literally brainless.

How’s Wigan’s local politician scene going?

Aah yes.

The PSP looks more futuristic than the PSVita here. Absolute GOAT
The Steam Deck has arrived and here it with the rest of its white handheld siblings.

It’s also funny that if they got this general election they really want, they’d probably get a Labour-Lib Dem coalition government which is even more against what they want 😂

Cinema room broke out into a round of applause at the end of Wicked though and idk if that’s an Australian thing but I’m still not having it. Same type who clap when the plane lands.

The whole Defying Gravity act in the Wicked film is Oscar worthy, actual goosebumps man.

I see the other site has the owner algorithm boosting a stupid petition while they all pat themselves on the back thinking they’re proving some grand point. Literally nobody in the actual government is remotely bothered about some cringe petition😂

Having a rooftop in Sydney near the airport is a blessing for a Flight Radar obsessive. Saw a 747 take off against the sunset earlier and was actually loving life.

I’m all for the right to protest, but Jesus Christ a bunch of farmers moaning that they have to pay a once in a generation tax on inheritance only above a million is hard to get behind. Entitled wallies.

We import TWO THIRDS of our cheese. That is a disgrace.
All this talk of food security. We import c.48% of our food. People don't seem to understand that (the old 52/48 split strikes again).
