All of these various algorithmic controls so I can see or not see the news that I want, and I still can’t just opt out of stories about murder or brutal crimes or whatever. The brutality porn that the news orgs like to pump out just isn’t my jam and I wish I could get away from it.

Last night I got confused while I was at the gym. I had the bar loaded to 245lbs, and I wanted to go up to 310lbs. I'm trying to get to 8x325lbs deadlift, because in theory if I can manage that, I can do a 1-rep-max of 400lbs.

Cappuccino sometimes gets in a mood where she smacks me while I’m letting her, and I think she just doesn’t know what to do with the energy/emotions she has in that moment. She’s usually purring and rolling around and suddenly she’ll snap at me and bop my hand a few times and go back to purring.

People have some really valid complaints about Air Canada, but I'd like to point out that the first time I ever had a Biscoff cookie it was on an AC Flight, so I'll be grateful to them forever.

I truly can't stress this enough: No one's art is good enough to justify them being miserable to work with. Almost everyone I've worked with has been wonderful, but the handful of folks that weren't brought the whole team down by being egotistical, sexist, condescending, etc.

Argh, Canada. Oil prices are DOWN. There's a glut of oil on the market. OPEC has been dumping product onto the market for months now, there are ships at sea full of oil—the price isn't gonna go UP. The pipelines are all gonna LOSE MONEY in the next 20 years.
