Lovely 8 mile hike today, was fascinated by these purple fields. On investigation its a flower called Phacelia which enriches the soil, atrracts pollinator, and makes for good cut flowers too. Excellent green credentials. Also lots of chalk hill blue butterflies!

The rabbit has been out for a brief grooming this evening, I can no longer comb her easily. We use a metal comb and I can feel every one of her bones. 😢 11 years 9 months old

My youngest spent the day today at the place she wishes to work in a year, once her degree is complete. Mr Vix just messaged to say if I had seen her there today, I'd have been so proud. I'm sure he his correct. She is turning into an amazing woman. ❤️

Brilliant day, went to visit my mum and there were open gardens near her. We visited 3 and a craft for, so much to see and so many people to talk to. Came home with more plants and seeds and had to spend some more time gardening despite the heat. Sprinkler now on.

Nematodes have been deployed, long lunchtime walk and lawn dressing down too. Watering every night for the next couple of weeks and I'll do a feed too. Hoping it will make a huge difference to our grass patch (doesn't deserve the title of lawn!)
