The Anaheim Ducks locking up Jackson Lacombe for 8 years ($9m per) is a huge step in the rebuilding process for the organization. That guy is a future cornerstone defenseman for any team in the league. #FlyTogether

Gabe Vilardi earning his big payday is one of the feel good stories in hockey. He dealt with constant, serious back issues at the end of his Junior career and as he tried to find his way to the NHL. I can only imagine the hard work and blind faith it took to earn his way to this point. #NHLJets

Because of Michigan, the question about Ohio State has been “are they tough enough?”

That is the worst start to a game by a good team in a long time. It didn’t look like the Golden Knights ever left the hotel. They signed up for 60 and somehow it wouldn’t be surprising if they flipped the script… but still, that was ugly
