Game of the Year 2017

I have loved Zelda for as long as I can remember, but up to this year I had been getting more disappointed in the series after games like Skyward Sword. Then Nintendo dropped this masterpiece and made me feel like a child all over again

Because I am a glutton for punishment I am making a video about Overwatch that I intend to animate with the finest shitty art I can muster. Here's my middle school -ass rendering of Moira. I'm... Kinda happy with it? Maybe this isn't my worst idea?

Game of the Year 2016

Today I look at multiplayer chaos! Some of my favorite gaming memories are sitting on my couch yelling at my friends to not burn the meat. It's simply fantastic!

Game of the Year 2015

This year I picked a small, indie game that no one has ever heard of. I hope nobody judges me for that...

Game of the Year 2014

It's wild to me that I haven't picked a Donkey Kong game until this year, it really speaks to how strong the SNES lineup is. Still, this is a great game and one of my favorites in the series, it deserves to win!

The Secret Origins Of Shy Guys

Shy guys seem like normal Mario enemies now, but did you know where they come from? I can explain that!

I've spent the better part of the past year on one project, a detailed analysis of the classic SNES game Yoshi's Island! I'm super happy with the result, so if you like long, nerdy videos check it out and let me know your thoughts!

Game of the Year 2013

It's always hard to leave out good games and the first two in this series didn't win in their years, so I'm excited to finally talk about Pikmin! Let's go!

Game of the Year 2012

Some video games strike you in ways you don't expect, and for me this was one of those. An abstract, artistic game with sense of purpose that explores the joy of flight? Not something I would look for but it was amazing!

Game of the Year 2011

I am a sucker for a well written petty villain, so is it any wonder I love GLaDOS? Portal was a surprise hit in the Orange Box and Valve made the wise choice to expand it into a full sequel that expanded on the brief original, so let's look at it!

Game of the Year 2010

We're into a new decade and there are SO MANY GAMES. The indie scene is starting to take off, but for this year I picked a classic RPG that featured great writing and some of my favorite characters... IN SPAAACE!

Game of the year 2009

This was a year I struggled with. None of the games this year were all-time favorites, but there were several that I quite enjoyed. In the end, I landed on game that really impressed me with it's ambition

Game of the Year 2008

Persona is big and popular now, but that wasn't always the case. Back in 2008 the series was made up of small, niche PS2 RPGs, but I loved them for it. Let's look back at Persona 4!

Game of the Year 2007

This was a FANTASTIC year for gaming, with a lot of landmark titles releasing. For me, the game that one this year had an impact that none of the others did. ...at least at the time.

GAME OF THE YEAR 2005

2005 was a BANGER year for video games, including the best Resident Evil game ever, for the Gamecube? It was weird, let's talk about it!

I am LIVING for that tree pun. It's so perfect! 気になる, but the "気" makes the same sound as "木", for tree! So he is becoming a tree AND intrigued in Japanese too!
Development files for Yoshi's Island reveal that Yoshi was originally meant to have a human voice. Lines for transforming into his various forms, including unused ones like Tree Yoshi, have been found.

It baffles me that they can drop something like Samus on a motorcycle on us in a direct and then not elaborate on it at all. Isn't this their big holiday game? I assume we will get a dedicated direct at some point, but they are being stingy with information

All the rumors swirling around about Nintendo adding DS games to the switch, and they announce Virtual Boy games instead. That has to be the most Nintendo thing I've ever seen, treating it like a beloved part of their history when it completely failed

I am not sure if it is a positive thing that Evangelion is so popular they are making themed shovels in 2025 or if it reflects how far the brand has fallen
