I'm calling this now: Heated Rivalry is already so popular that it will prompt a featured panel at San Diego Comic Con, AWP, and a North American tour of romance bookstores for the premiere of season 2

It is funny to see actual celebs like Chris Olsen and Phoebe Robinson also lose it in response to how hot and sexy this show is. I am so proud of my Canadian taxes funding it!

Not this year though. When Eurovision gets its act together.
Canada should compete in Eurovision and Carly Rae Jepsen should be our representative.

I think Steven Guilbeault quit cabinet because he watched Heated Rivalry and realize that his job as Minister of Culture was complete.

A real, “Alexander wept for there were no more worlds to conquer” situation.

Hello, I've read an unreasonable number of books this year & this might be it, this might be my very favourite of the entire year. I want everyone I know to read it. It absolutely rules & I will be evangelizing it far & wide.
hell of a time to be promoting a book about being trans, the damage done to the body/spirit in the decades spent fighting it, and how you can’t fight city hall (Big Transgender) but here we are. utpress.utexas.edu/978147733148...

The death of browsing is part of the reason art is the way it is now. Our opinions are largely fed to us by algorithms. Spending a spare 15 minutes wandering around a bookstore or comic shop or video rental place was how you found stuff you wouldn't ordinarily pick up and thereby expanded your taste
Bookselling is like the most "people go to the store and buy what looks cool to them without a particular agenda" type business left, and your purchases have a huge influence on what is ordered, what is displayed, and what is recommended.
