In the wake of what Judge Dugan did (100% legal), now is a good time for everyone to know what she knows:

An immigration or administrative warrant is *not* a judicial warrant. You are not obliged to obey it. Indeed, you can let the person out the back door. docs.google.com/presentation...

All, most of you know by now what happened to me in February.

I've written an essay about this for @harpersbazaar.uol.com.br.web.brid.gy, and I hope you'll give it a read:
All The Women I Met in Jail
A law meant to help victims of domestic violence often results in their arrest. One woman details surviving abuse and the system that claimed to protect her.

Hundreds of scholars have had their visas revoked and dozens have been detained.

What’s exceptional about Öztürk’s case is that her detention was caught on camera.

What’s scariest, immigration lawyers say, is how little is known about all the others.

Me to @digidaymedia.bsky.social: “I have to say that it felt really good, when I was bringing in all this new revenue, that I wasn’t having to share 10 percent of every subscription with Substack.”
Former Substack creators say they’re earning more on new platforms that offer larger shares of subscription revenue
Former Substack writers who exited the platform in early 2024 are making more money on Beehiiv and Ghost thanks to their fixed pricing models.

Before Retin-A was approved by the FDA in 1971, it had been tested on hundreds of incarcerated Black people in Philadelphia, without their informed consent. The survivors still bear the scars.
The miraculous wrinkle-erasing, acne-fighting cream, is the result of decades of horrifying medical abuse.

The attack on DEI shows why liberals should stop arguing about "strategic" use of language forever. DEI stands for three uncontroversial virtues that most every American accepts, and the right still turned it into a vile slur. It doesn't matter what you say - they will poison it because YOU said it.

Department of Education has debuted its new snitch portal to snitch on teachers who “indoctrinate” students by teaching DEI - say the words, every time: diversity, equity, and inclusion. Definitely don’t spam it mercilessly.
