We can hardly be surprised that people don't know the difference between software design and architecture when a search engine brings up answers like these... In a world where page rankings are driven by search engine optimisations rather than accuracy 🙈

Their highlighting not mine:
A google search results page. Two erroneous definitions of software architecture. One from AI "Software architecture is the high-level framework of a software system while software design is the process of breaking down that system into components and modules" - and one from Lucidchart "Software design is about the individual modules and components of the system and architecture is about the overall structure that these components fit into."

One of the things I tell people looking to develop is it's ok to read bad blog posts/watch bad conference talks. Part of getting to the top of your game is being able to work out what good looks like and build your reasonings. i.e. Don't ask for a list of good materials 😉
