you ain't gotta know too much. read a book.
the type of stuff that ppl weren't thinking about when they were claiming it didn't matter who was president
One thing that seems like it would be potentially valuable right now is for some kind of private/academic consortium to try to compile and release data about the state of the economy, since it seems like official stats are almost certainly going to be either nonexistent or wildly unreliable.
NEW — I spoke to DoorDash about the White House claiming the company's report shows "inflation has been tamed" and whether that's an interpretation one should make. An economist also weighed in, pointing out dictatorships use data obfuscation as a tool, and right now they're "grasping at straws."

you could fact check this — there aren’t 30 million illegal immigrants and there is no evidence that the presence of an immigrant in say houston has any impact on housing in madison, wisconsin — or you could note straightforwardly that this is just nazi rhetoric
JD Vance: "A lot of young people are saying housing is way too expensive. Why is that? Because we flooded the country with 30 million illegal immigrants who were taking houses that ought by right go to American citizens."

Megyn Kelly thinks barely legal means 15 which is just....illegal. Barely legal is when you're legal but barely. You fucking idiot, Megyn. You creepy stupid clown, Megyn.

Megyn Kelly suddenly finds pedophilia very hard to define

I just want to note that "barely legal" and "15-year-old" are not equivalent terms, even inside the putrid logic she's trying to apply here.

Have now seen several "one rotten apple" defenses of the way the NY Times mishandled knowledge of a senior reporter's unethical relationship with Epstein, and I just have to say that it's not a compelling argument when it's being made by another apple— even if said apple is soaking in a diff. barrel

You can disagree and argue as much as you like but the point of evaluating something scientifically is that not every statement should be given equal credence because evidence matters
JD Vance: "Science as practiced in its best form is that if you disagree with it, then you ought to criticize it and you ought to argue against it."

"Underage" is an appropriate term for describing someone under the legal age for drinking, or gambling, or purchasing tobacco products, etc.

It is not an appropriate way to describe a CHILD who has been the victim of a crime.

Men do not “have sex with underage girls” they rape them. Language matters. Children CANNOT consent

yes, there's a technical term for ppl who prefer teens, and it isn't pedophile...that doesn't make it any less DISGUSTING and (this seems to be important to some of these ppl) ILLEGAL
Megyn Kelly: "I know somebody very close to this case…Jeffrey Epstein, in this person's view, was not a pedophile…He was into the barely legal type, like he liked 15 year old girls…He wasn't into like 8 year olds…There's a difference between a 15 year old and a 5 year old."
