Recovering reporter who loves to hear the stories people carry around with them. Uber drivers are a gold mine of comedy, wisdom, tragedy, love, and occasional new curse words. Names have been changed to protect the innocent. #boston and points thereabout.
What the fuck, national review
I’ve rarely read anything so poorly written and reasoned. Even in the national review, it’s wild that this sentence randomly attacking innocent mass shooting victims got through editing. www.nationalreview.com/2023/10/tayl...

10.21.23 -- A story from New York, sometime after the Red Sox broke the curse and before Jamie Dimon busted the economy.

Title: Don't Call Saul

1/?

Saul was rideshare before there was rideshare. He was Uber of the mind. He was short and squat and gray, like a decomissioned Queens firehydrant.

#uber driver from halfway around the world. I recognize only every few words (I slam not his accent, but my #auditoryprocessingdisorder). The truth he speaks is universal. I will paraphrase. "The streets in #Boston are fucking insane, in my country we build normal roads, not this shit."

Why Johnny Can't Train #uberfiction
by KK 10/16

1/? Mike tossed a Tarryton light from the window and picked up the woman from the #transit gift store on Mass Av in #PorterSquare in #Cambridge. He'd never seen a woman so happy to be lugging a chunk #infrastructure. A godamn bus destination sign.

I collect stories from people. They tell me stuff. I have that kind of face and voice. Over the course of 25-year news career, people told me about going to their own child's funeral. Or about how they could control FIRE with their MIND. You know, normal stuff you hear at the office.
