practically speaking, this debate has been made moot by the recent rise of Signal.
But even before that reporters always knew that their work email accounts were highly vulnerable to subpoenas, so not sure this argument full holds.

Trump refusing to use the old system of vetting by DOJ of pardon requests means that the most deserving who used to make the cut out of 1000s - decades old smaller cases of people who turned their lives around - get ignored. Now the pardons go to rich connected Republican felons.

The International Criminal Court is ditching Microsoft Office, saying it’s too dependent on US tech, in favor of Open Desk, a German open source alternative.

The move comes after Microsoft revoked ICC head Karim Khan’s email access when he was sanctioned by the US for the warrant against Netanyahu.

Everyone’s favorite Justice Brett K., as recently as September, publicly called Starr “like a second father to me” …
…and in the 2000’s frequently stated his desire to see Starr sitting on the nation’s highest court.

Whenever Ken Starr returns to the news, it's fun to remember that one deputy investigating Bill Clinton (and Vice Foster) was ... Brett Kavanaugh!

Extra fun to remember that GWBush FL Recount team in 2000 included Brett K, J Roberts, AC Barrett.

Plus help from FL gov Jeb Bush. Good times!
Ken Starr emailing with Epstein in 2018 is a really interesting thing to learn about!!!!!!

The thing to understand about this is that this catastrophe in the UK has redounded to the political benefit of the very same people and political movement that pushed for it! Extremely perverse.

I wonder if the United States can learn anything from the last time a major industrialized country decided to isolate itself from the rest of the world?

Almost a decade after the Brexit vote, GDP in the UK is around 6-8% lower relative to peer countries. (Source: www.nber.org/papers/w34459)

the next dem president shouldn’t tear down the gilded ballroom.
Instead, on day one, they should turn it into a secure facility containing:
- a homeless shelter;
- a refugee relocation center;
- a food bank / soup kitchen.

And yes, it can easily be done without compromising White House security.
