Baylin really wanted to enjoy school. She loves to learn and read, but couldn't focus on her work. She often got in trouble for doodling on her parchment, or staring out the window daydreaming. When finished with her work, she wasn't allowed free time, instead having to sit quietly and wait.

Baylin's mother is from a royal line of another country, her friend is gay, her adopted brother will eventually betray her. She has found out her friend's secret and took it well and will be working on some matchmaking once they're out of immediate danger.
