Oh my goodness, I love librarians. The children's librarian at the local library has apparently started randomly putting books on hold for me that she thinks my kid will like, *without me requesting them.* Bless her.

It helps to have a group of people who either accept or embrace your cringe.
I'm fine not being understood by people in general because I know I have a solid friend group to fall back on.
