I love to hunt for mushrooms in our lush coastal PNW forest. These are Amanita muscaria, fly agaric. Although you can touch them with no harm, it takes a long process of double-boiling them to make them comfortably edible. I’ve never tried that—too lazy!

I'm trying to (1) develop my skills with #colourpencils (aka #colorpencils), and (2) create portraits of #snakes. This is a study I did of some headscales surrounding the eye of a Chinese tree viper ( #Polychromos and a gel pen for highlights). #artonbluesky #wildlifeart #reptiles
