Currently, completing work on my first book on musical meaning.
What kind of functions musical emotions are and how do they fit into biological and cultural evolution?

Here's some outcome of philosophical fieldwork; a mentoring session in the woods with my boss. Evidence that supervision can provide fruiting bodies.

My first book (in Polish) is out: "Music and Mind: The Problem of Musical Meaning in the Light of Contemporary Cognitive Aesthetics of Music". Historical & contemporary philosophical accounts mapped on neuro/cog/evo takes. Musical representation is structural, neo-mechanistic and teleosemantic.

It's always important to remember to care about our philosophical health! Please do not procrastinate, we should find time to deal with it: www.philosophyexperiments.com/health/Defau... Most likely there is nothing to worry about, but—reportedly—a check-up at every career stage is strongly advised.

I knew, of course, that William Whewell first coined the word “scientist,” but I had no idea that the idea remained so controversial that Nature was still weighing in on the appropriateness of the term at least as late as 1925.

My boycott of the US is starting with not measuring anything in cups, and continuing to keep as far away from Oreos as I can.

Does technology evolve as biology? In many ways, it does. Is it continuous or occurs in bursts? By analyzing the evolution of programming languages with @svalver.bsky.social, we found the answer. Wrok started at @sfiscience.bsky.social.

I wonder what Feyerabend would have to say about the separation of science and the state these days. That was one of the topics at the XXXVII Polish Philosophy Olympiad, where I’m thrilled to be part of the reviewing team. Submissions are outstanding, and the fellow teachers truly inspiring!

Einstein: 'What I most admire about your art, is your universality. You don't say a word, yet the world understands you!'

Chaplin: 'True. But your glory is even greater! The whole world admires you, even though they don't understand a word of what you say.'
