Emmrich having gotten his skaletal body back from repairs, is suddenly acting a bit strange, and Rook is worried about his. He tells her he's skaleton is feeling a bit over sensitive and that it feels like he is absorbing her emotions into his bones, feeling overwhelmed. The sensation is acompanied by a tingling in one of his ribs, he asks Rook to take a look. She finds some runes carved into his rib. She write it down for Emmrich, as she cant read tomb script. It says "Love" As for why it's there he will have a talk with Kunigunde, as he has some other things to talk to her about anyways. He is frustrated by not touching Rook, but she reasure him, he will be back in her arms soon. He darely hope so!

Rook bringing Emmrich's skull to the Lich mortuary in the grand necropolis. Vorgoth picks them up and takes them there. They are greeted by four liches, and Emmrich's body is laying on a stone table. Lady Kunigunde greets Rook, happy to see her. Rook is instructed to put Emmrich's head to his neck when she is ready. She say she understand as she puts Emmrich's skull and his clothes on the table. "Emmrich, you're beautiful!" she says, enamoured with this rapaired skeleton body grafted with gold. She cant help herself and reaches out and touches it. The other liches taken aback by Rook touching Emmrich's body so lovingly, having a bit of a shock. Vorgoth curious, Kunigunda surprised, lich one dropping his jaw, and lich two turning away blushing beat red. Rook oblivious letf her fingers trase one of Emmrich's golden ribs. A hidden rune carved into the inside of his rib starts glowing. Emmrich's skull on the side of the table feels it because of the proximity to his body, he stifls a groan as best he can, taken a back by the sensation. "What was that" he thinks. The other liches takng notice, clearly knowing something he dont. Kunigunde goes "Oh my! <3" and starts scribbling in her notebook, Vorgoth blushing over her shoulder at her scribbling. Licj one averts his gase as he reaches for his dropped jaw bone. Lich two unable to hold onto his glamour goes *poof* showing his lich form. Emmrich pleading Rook to afix his skull to his body. Rook awkwardly coming to her senses agrees "Oh right, sorry!" She puts his skull to his neck and the magic swirls as Emmrich finds his connection. Emmrich sits up, still wondering what happened before. Rook ask if he is alright, he answere, that he thinks so... Rook picking up on his uncertaintry. The other liches sees themself out, Kunigunde still scribbling in her notebook, to busy to say bye, lich one trying to afix his jaw, lich two waving while putting his glamour back on, and lich three telling Emmrich to pace himself, and that he'll feel back to normal in a few days. Emmrich say thank you as then leave. Once alone with Rook, he cant help by feel emotional, leaning into her for a hug, burying his skull in her shoulder "Thank you, my love. For everything. For beeing here" he says. Rook a but surprised, eventually squeeze him into a hug "it's good to have you back" she says. "It's good to be back" he answere saying he'll get dressed. Rook answere "Mhm, that might be for the best" Emmrich chuckles. He gets dressed and put on his glamour for the first time in a few weeks. Rook say they should go visit Lofrid the healer, as she has been worried with Emmrich "away". Emmrich say he think that is a great idea.

Rook brought Emmrich's dismbodied skull to see Johanna in the sealed artiface section of The Grand Necropolis. Johanna laughs at their shared predicament, but Emmrich shuts her up by promising to bring her a book if she helps him find something. She agrees. On the way home Rook calls him out on his lie. He didnt need the help, he just wanted to give Johanna a book. He sais she is likely very bored, not having someone to look after her like he does. He wonder if its wrong of him, when she has done so many bad things. Rook dont know if its right or wrong, only that she likes how much empathy Emmrich has. He sais he love her.

Emmrich (lich - just a skull right now) asks Rook if she has thought of a name for her self yet. She'll need one for their wedding. She give him a firm nope, knowing full well Emmrich has propably thought of one himself. He is reluctant to say anything at first, tries to lie about it, but Rook tells him they both know he cant lie to save his life. "Mirren" he eventually says. Rook whispers the name. Then says it out loud "Mirren... Volkarin" (Emmrich's last name) Emmrich feeling a bit emotional, but says nothing. She asks why he picked it, and it's clear he has given it a lot of thought. Rook/Mirren, satesfied with is explenation says she will think about it. (She has already descided to keep it) They go home, Mirren telling him if he want to stay in her arms all the way home, she'll pet his skull all the way. He is not against it in the slightest. Mirren and Emmrich walking home in the sunset desert of Nevarra. They have been sitting in a ruin of an old building on a hilltop. Mirren snuggling Emmrich's skull.

Rook dozing off startles awake with a ugh, feeling a bit unwell. Emmrich (lich - just a skull) is resting on her tummy. He suggests they go home if she is feeling unwell. Rook dosnt want to go home and request to stay a while longer. Emmrich knows the lack of sun in the Necropolis makes her depressed. He asked if the Grand Necropolis is hard on her. She says no. She likes it there, its something else that pothers her. She went from fighting gods to hinding in a tomb because of her chronic fatigue, she krackles some lighning from her hand reflecting on it. Emmrich dosnt anwere so she hurries to add that it's a lovely tomb, worried she have offended him. Emmrich tells her something he have been keeping secret from her for the past year. He has been working on a treatment for her chronic fatigue, but he is missing an ingredient and still needs to tweet it. It's not a permanent fix for her problem. She kisses him on the forhead and asks what he is missing. He says something satesfactory invigurating. He has been trying this and that, but nothing is good enough. Rook suggests Grave-mist, recalling Emmrich mentioning it during their time in the Veilguard as being quite invigurating. He is excited by the suggestion, exclaming he has to try that. Rook tells him that even if it works or not, she is gratefull that he has been thinking of her. He says she is always in his thoughts.

Rook hoping the convince Emmrich to let her leave the apartment, he is worried, but eventually agrees to "go" with her (He's just a skull right now) Rook and skull-Emmrich makes their wait to the Nevarra outskirts. Settles down in the ruins of an old building. She cheer Emmrich of by giving him a fern mustache, he cant help but chuckle. He reaveals he is worried about not getting his body back. Rook reasure him he will probably get his body back soon. She knows he is bored. She tried to reasure him further by telling him that if he should stay a skull she will do her best to keep him entertained. Carry him to the alter if she must. He is surprised, she'd marry him even if he is just a skull? Rook as no reservations about it, he is still the man she loves. Emmrich muses that its not so bad to be a skull when he has Rook, and that she always puts his hearth at ease. Rook pets his skull resting in her lap.

Rook sendt Emmrich (lich) off to the healer with a kiss, after he has made a fuzz Rook thinking about their wedding plans, then goes to bed Rook awakens to mumbling from the living room. It's Myrna having dropped off Emmrich's skull. Emmrich apologises, and promises he wont be a problem. Rook sais he is never a problem and makes him promise to not put his glamour on. She brings him and a book back to bed with her. Propping the book up so he can read. He mage hand the blanket over her after she has fallen aleep

"There you go. Representable for the other Liches" Rook putting Emmrich's Lich crown on his head. His sighs, hanging his head low, his shoulders dropping. Rook strokes his broken skeletal left arm (or whats left of it) "Come now, chin up! You need to get your body healed" She says, having had this conversation a few times already. "I know, but-" Emmrich tries to touch her hair, but she stops him. "You been complaining about feeling tired, and feeling tired is my job" Rooks tells him, refrering to her chronic fatigue, and Emmrich's broken body constantly draining his magic. "What if-" He tried, but Rook cuts him off again. Telling him he had already arranged for someone to check on her everyday, and he has filled the larder (with too much food) she squeezes his hand. "But-" Rook stops him again plasing a finger on his mouth/skull "Hurry back, Emmrich" she says, holding his hand to her chest. She kisses him to stop him from speaking further. "I will, my love" He says gently, bumping their foreheads together.

Emmrich (lich) and Rook on the couch in Emmrich's apartment. Frame1: "Emmrich?" Rooks asks, "yes dear Emmrich answer. Rooks ask him how he found her after she was poisoned. F2-7: He realise he can no longer keep it a secret. He pulls Rook's phylactery from his robes and explains to her what it is and what is does "A beacon to find its owner" F1-3: Emmrich tells Rook he took some blood from her when she was unconsious after they got her back from the fade prison. Afride to loose her again and that she might destroy it of she found out he had it. He cound never bring himself to tell her about it. F4: He tries to give it back to her, saying she can do what she want with it. F5: She tells him to keep it. F6: He asks if she is certain. Clearly happy pulling the phylactery closer to his chest. F7: Rook blushing tell him "If I get lost in the Necropolis you can come find me. You can call it you `wife compass`" F8: Emmrich having a bluescreen moment. F9: Rook giggles, Emmrich clutches the phylactery to his chest telling her, he might, with a chuckle.

Frame 1: Emmrich's apartment, the grand necropolis 16th solace. Emmrich (lich) wiping dried blood and dirt off Rook's face. Rook is unconsious in Emmrich's 4 poster bed. She is dressed in her night dress. Emmrich is wearing a kimono. Arms tied up with a tasuki rope, revealing his missing left arm. F2: Emmrich heals Rook's head injury with magic. F3: Emmrich feeds Rook "ahhhh" he thinks. F4: 17 solase. Emmrich brushes Rooks hair. F5: Emmrich doing breathing exercised using magic to simulate air. F6: Emmrich holding Rook in his arm, leaning back in bed with Rook on his lap. F7: 18th solase, Emmrich laying in bed holding Rook's hand "Your life force looks stronger today, dearest" he says to her. Seeing the light in her chest. F8: Emmrich looking in Rooks crate with her things, finding Varric's book. F9: Emmrich sitting on the edge of the bed reading to Rook. "Get the captain, Donnen sighed, We got a dead magistrate" he reads from Varric's book Frame 1: 19th solase Emmrich done reading the book, places it on the bedside drawer. F2-3-4: He gets up from the bed and starts taking his kimono off while walking towards the bed room standing mirror. F5: He stands before the mirror, seeing his broken skeleton. Ribs broken and cracked. Left arm missing from the elbow. Cracked boned. F6: He touches his ribcage "My hand is shaking again" he thinks. F6: He looks at his missing arm "If I wasnt undead...I'd surely... and Rook would also... No! I'd better not dwell on it" he thinks. F7: He touches his broken pelvic bone sighing. Frame 1: Rook blinks awake in the bed. F2: She sees Emmrich at the end of the bed in all his broken glory. She is shocked, eyes wide. "Em.." she manages F3: Emmrich starteled turns around to see the awakened Rook. "Emm..ri... You...r..." Rooks tried to speak. F4: Emmrich grabs his kimono "No no! It's fine, dearest!" she says hurrying to but his clothes on to not worry her further. F5: "Bu.." Rooks starts. Emmrich climbing into bed pushing her down gently. "Please, lay back down." He tells her. F6: "Are...you hurting" Rook worried about him, grabbing at his clothes. Still shocked. F7: I'm fine, I promise" He tries to reasure her, pulling her hand from his clothes. "But you can feel pain..." She continues. F8: Darling, any pain I felt was only temporary. You need not worry. " He bumps his forehead against her's and pets her cheek. "..." Rook is not convinced but let it go for now. F9: "What happened, it's all a bit blurry" she tells him. He tells her they can talk about it once she feels better. F10: Rook upset by his injuries cant stop the tears from running down her face "But I got you hurt..." She sobs. Frame 1: Emmrich feeling guilty "perish the thought" he sayd, hanging his head. "...If anything I almost let you die because I'm a coward!" F2: Rook understanding it's not her time to cry. F3: "So long as you are my coward" she says reashing her arms for him, inviting him in for a hug. F4: He accepts leaning his skull against her chest. "Without a dobht my love, without a dobht" he sais. F5: "Can they fix your body?" Rook asks, caressing his skull with the hand. F6: "yes but I'll be away for a few days. I didnt want to leave your care to anyone else" he says. Rook kisses his skull. F7: Thank you for looking after me, and for saving me" Rooks smiles at him against her chest, holding his skull with both hands "And just so we are clear, I dont think you're a coward". F8: "It's a hard thing to face your fears. I'm proud of you. You are very brave" She tells him. Remembering the fear demon. Emmrich emotional cant help the tears, they drifts up into the air, unable to respond "..." F9: "I love you very much" She tells him hugging him as he pulls his leggs closer and burrows his skull in her dress "I...lov..." he tries, but cant finish his words. Muffled sob.
