The mayor of Tamworth Council is a very old mate of Barnaby Joyce's and a National party member

No surprises this backward collection of red-necks drags their council to court on their ratepayers' money to oppose a wind farm - and even then can't get their legal arguments right
Tamworth Council went to court to try and stop a wind farm. It didn’t go well. Tamworth Council argued that the wind turbines would be too big for local roads. The judge pointed out there is no approval needed to drive on a public road reneweconomy.com.au/youve-got-to...

A surgeon?!! JFC.

‘Greg Malham – an adjunct professor at Swinburne University who specialises in spine surgery and has worked at hospitals including Epworth Richmond – told The Age “it was a silly thing to do”.

“It was intended as a joke, but I recognise how bad it looks,” he said.
📢 A Melbourne surgeon has admitted tearing down a Monique Ryan election sign before tutoring men in how to “bury the body” in a video that has outraged anti-violence campaigners and politicians.

The issue isn't that Dutton is going to shape his campaign and tactics 100% on Trump (different playing fields) but that Dutton gets his research and analysis from the same think tanks and specialised comms groups that the Republicans do.

Same culture wars shit, diluted down for Australian tastes.

Can someone please explain to me which parts of the Australian school curriculum are "woke"? I'm interested bc I work in the sector. #Dutton keeps parroting the line but never articulates the details. Kinda like his #nuclear plan.

As an opposition spokesperson, Jacinta Price is paid between $280,000 & $292,054 a year, along with various allowances & super.

But that didn’t stop her being investigated for 14 breaches of misuses of expenses, 13 of which she was found to have improperly have claimed from the Tax payer.

The Coalition have also taken lessons from Trump and other nationalistic campaigns in recent years -claim time is 'running out' to 'save' the country. There's no substance behind any of it - you only need to read Boris Johnson's book to see how much of a joke so much of it is, but it will run

That, but even more explicit - you can pretend you never said what you’re on tape saying and you’ll have enough people backing it up for it to sufficiently muddy ‘facts’

Dutton’s ‘brave’ nuclear bet relies on coal plants. Their owners are concerned
Opposition Leader Peter Dutton’s energy plan is for coal plants to keep running until nuclear is built. But the coal owners need answers.

Brereton always defines corruption as typically being engaged in "for a private benefit" which is explicitly NOT what his own Act requires. They even have a clause saying: "Conduct involving a public official may be corrupt conduct even if the conduct is not for the person’s personal benefit."
