I put -ai at the end of every online search, but today I saw a bit of AI anyway. Apparently the movie The Bad Seed contains "severe violence, including ... a scene where a boy's arm is bitten off." I ... did not remember that. (Spoiler: there's no such scene.)
Just a reminder that AI makes shit up

This is the reporter that Donald Trump called "Piggy." She is Catherine Lucey, currently with Bloomberg.

I don't think it is a coincidence that, back in 2018, Lucey was the first reporter to ask Trump about Stormy Daniels. Trump responded with a lie, but, clearly, did not forget the question.

Donald Trump said “quiet piggy” to a female reporter because she dared to ask about the Epstein files, and as bad as that is, the fact that none of her colleagues defended her, is even worse.

'He'?

That tells me the level of bias underlying this uninformed post.

Surgical training is so rigorous that the surgeons '20 years from now' are already at med school, and I can tell you from direct experience they are brilliant, innovative, and better communicators than their forebears.
#MedSky
It’s fun to think about the surgeon who will botch your surgery 20 years from now and what he’s doing at this moment. He just ran all his homework through ChatGPT. He just read that article about vaccines and autism at the CDC website. He just watched an Instagram video about the moon landing hoax.

For those of us who became disabled as a result of the pandemic, Alice was a bright light walking us through the experience. She did so much to show many of us what it meant to see disability as a beautiful part of who we are, not something to resent.

steam is apparently allowing "this game had AI in it that it didn't disclose" as a valid return statement, so if you or anyone you know actually paid $70 for slop, get that money back

Masks have been an important tool to protect from wildfire smoke or allergy dust since before COVID-19 hit. Mask bans are not only dangerous for people with #LongCOVID but leave everyone more vulnerable to the harmful impacts of air pollution. Read more from @adiehl.bsky.social: bit.ly/3LVDusC

Under new head of Paramount David Ellison, the studio has drawn up a list of actors who opposed the Gaza genocide and will not allow them to appear in its films and TV shows.

Does this sound familiar?

Also, "Ellison is reportedly aiming to take over Warner Bros. next."
Paramount Has Blacklist for Stars Deemed “Overtly Antisemitic” — World of Reel
It sure looks like the likes of Javier Bardem, Joaquin Phoenix, Emma Stone, and Mark Ruffalo won’t be making movies for Paramount in the foreseeable future.

As others have said, no one is demanding mask mandates in all public places. A reasonable solution is to have mandates in places that clinically vulnerable people cannot avoid. Public transit, healthcare facilities, grocery stores and pharmacies. CLEAN THE AIR in schools and all other buildings.

It pisses me off to no end that Long Covid affects hundreds of millions of people globally and no one I know can name a Long Covid expert or any of the leading labs looking into it. It’s simply not a topic people want to pay any attention to, and I consider that living in fear, or at least denial.
