Normally Veterans day is quite busy for restaurants, given the whole free food to Vets thing. In the past wait times have been like maybe an hour. This year the wait is WAY over 2hrs and it's been this way all day at every place I have tried. It's actually terrifying how food insecure Veterans are.

Let me make this abundantly clear (as I've been contacted by some friends): I will absolutely get the LEGO USS Enterprise-D set for Christmas, the first LEGO I've got since I was 11! 😅 I also love the little type 15 shuttlepod set! :-)

It is incumbent upon me to point out that, should you wish to take them up on this (freaking great) deal, you will also need to get eggs and sugar to make the punkin pie and cranberry sauce, assuming you don’t just want to eat cranberries. But also: Do this! It’s an amazing deal! (And get butter.)

Today the US government said let them eat cake, as the president builds a ballroom while his people starve. Did you know that there are only 756 billionaires in the US but over 340 million people. 12% of which are on SNAP (about 41 million people). All I'm saying is I took basic arithmetic.
