This is almost a guarantee: spent 2 full days from morning til late evening all knocking ourselves out deep cleaning our house for a &%^^$ rental inspection. And today the REA says he's down sick and cancels it. Welp. At least we have a clean house.

Was in Woolies earlier grabbing some vittles and the store muzak was playing "Christmas Wrapping" by the Waitresses which was delightful, and also really wtf because that was never a hit here, and why am I hearing it everywhere in the last few years!?

My Dad passed away on Nov 13 after an extended period of ill health from stroke. Not unexpected, but still so heavy. I don't know how to feel yet except weird that he is no more. Like a fundamental change? Anyway I've been interstate for the (quite uplifting) funeral, and now I'm back and glum.

Having not listed to this album in DECADES, I had forgotten that every track on it is an absolute banger. Suprised to note this album is extremely pricy on vinyl - maybe it never got a proper vinyl release originally? Anyway, none better from these guys imho.

Mo came home wielding an entire durian this afternoon. I realised Ive never smelled one before and - well, uncut anyway - it smells fine to me! Like a intense dried mango or peach smell, with a slight aftertaste of ... petrol?
