The 10th generation is looking to be interesting. Switch 2 coming out here with heavy hitters in software, then Valve comes out casually introducing complete game changers in the “console” (I know the Steam Machine is a pc. Shush) and VR space. I wonder if Sony can one-up them?

Seeing all this controversy about Xbox in the gaming industry has me pondering if Xbox and Microsoft actually ever contributed anything positive to the gaming industry that wouldn’t have been done by others had they not.
I can think of DirectX and PC controller standardization so far, but thats it.

Is it possible to be just, like, a casual Youtuber? Like as a hobby, maybe get a small following thats enthusiastic about 5th gen gaming consoles or whatever, but not aim for a career?

Look, I know there's a lot of bullshit around Nintendo. I get it, it's all bad. Some games are too expensive, the new ToS changes are shit. Nintendo has dipped their toe in new anti-consumer changes. I don't like it either.

There is no place in TTRPGs for sexists, racists, homophobes, transphobes, or any other bigot, and neither they nor their writings should be tolerated at any table.
The fact that there seems to be enough tolerance of this in the OSR that it has a stigma of being a hateful community saddens me.

Whelp, once again I'm trapped in the Microsoft cage. It was either go back to Windows or stay with Linux... but be forced to use Meta's junk for VR.
