Why are excitatory glutamatergic synapses located on dendritic spines while inhibitory GABAergic synapses are formed directly on the soma or dendritic trunk? Our latest results identify a functional advantage of GABA synapse morphology.

The Cajal International Neuroscience Center, #CINC, Spain's new flagship neuro center appears to be sinking even before leaving harbour. What a shame for Spanish #neuroscience, and truly a lost opportunity.
