Brexit has cost each and every one of us £3,700 a year.

But instead of solving the problem, Labour are using Brexit as an excuse to raise your taxes.

My message ahead of the Budget: Stop blaming Brexit and start fixing it!

@soverybritish.bsky.social Thought I’d let you know Facebook offered me a ‘rising fan’ badge, apparently because I’ve unwittingly interacted with (i.e. read) your page. After I’d overcome my vague sense of disquiet, I turned it down, which I’m reasonably sure was the British thing to do.

If Reform can go from nought to sixty in 5 seconds (in terms of support & prominence) why can’t the millions of left-leaning people do exactly the same for @greenparty.org.uk ?
It’s not beyond the realms of possibility.
The old two-party monopoly is dead.
Be part of the change. ✊💚

@theobserveruk.bsky.social Hey chaps. I’m an online subscriber, but I’ve only received the New Review, Magazine and Sports sections this morning. What gives?

Also, please can we have the electronic Everyman back? Having to print it out every week isn’t particularly environmentally sound.

If everyone who wants to stop Reform gets up today and votes for
Plaid Cymru - then Caerphilly can stop reform.
Otherwise, this seat will go Reform UK.
Get out, and vote Caerphilly! For Plaid Cymru

@sophiehannah.bsky.social After finishing NWDWTLHD, I read Yew Tree. Brilliant book but I’m not sure who, in your narrator’s interpretation, was the hidden murderer. Gabriel’s narcissism would’ve probably deterred him,&I’m not sure it’d’ve been worth the effort on Teresa’s part. Can you advise?1/2

@burningshed.com a quick thanks for getting my order to me so quickly, and for fifty quid less than your highest profile competitor was asking. You responded promptly to my queries, & have provided great service. Never felt more justified in going with the independent outfit. Keep up the good work.

I don’t want to be too shrill about this but I think the BBC, ITV and Sky have disgraced themselves in their coverage of the anti-refugee protests. A massive failure of judgement. But now we know the next time a progressive protest “isn’t news” that it’s nothing to do with numbers

@emmasouthon.bsky.social Hi-I was very much looking forward to your rex-factoring of the remaining 4 emperors but you look to have leapt from episode 110 to 112. Can we expect 111, or should I be grateful to miss Otho’s inevitable but disappointing defeat on points to the dull but worthy Vespasian?

"I am 𝘩𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘭𝘺 suspicious of the idea that the media can be held solely accountable for the rise of Farage and Reform."

The News Agents discuss claims that the media give an outsized platform to right-wing politics in the UK.

@rexfactor.bsky.social Just caught up w/the Catherine Howard episode and it struck me that if she’d been a king or queen regnant, she’d’ve needed to demonstrate scandalous behaviour in multiple domains to score so highly. Still, it’s great miniseries with Catherine Parr an unexpected breakout star.

Even though Ms Badenoch proved herself once again to be an utterly vile individual, I still found myself feeling a bit sorry for her, like when Alan Partridge lamped a guest and had to skulk shamefacedly offstage, with a turkey on this hand, to the tones of Mick Hucknall. #PMQs
