The amazing #SaraCox arriving in Cookridge #Leeds on the last day of her mammoth task for #Childreninneed
She was in a bad way and is in the club you can see recovering.
We live in the biggest point in Leeds so it was a tough climb and the weather is foul.

Correction or just the beginning?
Concerns about a lack of economic data due to a US government shutdown, even though it came to an end this week, and frothy tech valuations against the backdrop of an AI boom, are adding to the edgy mood across financial markets

A good crowd waiting in the rain and cold for Sara Cox

Sara Cox approaching Pool in Wharfedale where she will be faced with the ominous climb up Pool Bank to Bramhope. That’s a big, steep hill.
Once through Bramhope she’ll walk up to us in Cookridge - the highest point in Leeds.
It is absolutely lashing down.
It’s a hell of a task for that girl.

Border wars: a football match in 1599 between men of Bewcastle, England, and Armstrongs of Whithaugh, Scotland, was followed by ‘drynkyng hard’. Final score was two dead, 30 taken prisoner ‘and many sore hurt, especially John Whytfeild, whose bowells came out, but are sowed up againe’.

I see that #celtic and 10 Downing Street have the same, vigorous and exhaustive investigation process into top level leaks.

I’m as far from being a wine connoisseur as it’s possible to be, but I had a glass of this last night and it was absolutely delicious.
Strong recommend.

Apparently, the bold Sara Cox is stopping off at Leeds Mods (nee Old Mods) on Cookridge Lane tomorrow for half an hour before her last push to Pudsey.
Due in at about 12.30 ish if anyone wants to show a little support.
Setting aside my usual cynicism, the girl is doing a grand job.

Pretty sure I’ve seen this on Seinfeld. It was Kramer. 😂😂😂
When a man hijacked a bus in Hamilton, Ontario, on Tuesday, the potentially catastrophic scenario ended happily. It turns out he was a pretty decent bus driver. He made regular stops to pick up passengers, the police reported. At one point someone tried to board with an expired bus pass. No dice.
A Man Took a Bus for a Joyride. Turns Out, He’s Not a Bad Driver.
The incident in Hamilton, Ontario, ended safely with an arrest and no injuries (and all fares paid).
