Somewhere along the line I forgot that toddlers go from 3 to 13 overnight. Tonight, my daughter was trying to unlock hubby's phone, I retrieve the phone before she accidently turned on emergency mode and she goes. "Hey, that's my phone. Give it back!"

In light of the Reading Rainbow reboot, I introduced our littlest one to the retro version tonight. Our oldest wandered in and settled in to watch because he's never one to turn down a good read aloud, no matter how old he gets. Love my bookworm and bookworm in training.

Spooky season arrived early-ish to our household. Tonight was movie night with Hocus Pocus.

Finished South of Midnight and it was amazing. The soundtrack alone will be stuck in my head for weeks to come.

I'm spending what's basically the last night of my spring break (normal chaos returns on Monday) doing a bit of writing and rocking out to the livestream of Coachella. *Currently focused on the main stage and Green Day* Despite not having huge word counts, I can't complain-it's been good.

In other news, I have to say South of Midnight is a work of art. The story, lore, and music weave such a tale... I'm only in Chapter 5 and I'm in love.

For those who were doing the work yesterday--I salute you. Amazing work being done. Let's keep up the momentum. We the people isn't just an empty phrase- it's the key to it all.

Did I ride the end of the clock app until the very end? Yes, yes I did, as I scrambled to follow (curse you procrastination!) all my fav content creators on other places so I don't loose touch. I hope this status is temporary, but in case it's not let me send am message into the aether: Thanks.

A Thread: One thing that pisses me off the most about this TikTok ban as a teacher. We are banning an app based on a hypothetical when we can't do shit about a real threat in schools where teachers (and students) literally have to have training in case the worse case scenario happens.

Today has been my most productive writing day in a very, very long time. It might be the story gelled with me (3rd attempt at starting) or it might just be I'm finally hitting a stride with all my responsibilities. Either way, looking forward to seeing where this takes me.

Tomorrow we have game day and a Halloween Party which means hauling out what is basically my 13th Doctor cosplay, though it's somewhat incomplete at this point. So, this weekend will find me playing Dungeons and Dragons as the Doctor. Fantastic!

Just set up my NaNoWriMo project for this year, the second book of the Storm Warden Series. I wrote the first one for NaNoWriMo 2022, so I have to continue the tradition into 2023!
