The infamous George Costanza quote sums it up. It's been obvious this is what's happening. But he comes across as genuine and his cult believes it because HE believes it genuinely.

I am a father of two aspiring Eagle Scouts, one of which is considering West Point and Annapolis. Pathetic. Truly pathetic human beings.

Breaking character: I am open to the idea the media's coverage of Biden's age and mental acuity was fair or perhaps not even tough enough. But the fact that it was so much tougher than the coverage of Trump's (more severe) mental decline is damning and I can't see how anyone could argue otherwise.
NYT isn’t worth reading because they are in the bag for Trump

Riley’s messaging about trans athletes involves “predatory men” and “sexual assault.”

if the epstein files have the smoking gun of trump bluesky might crash at the euphemisms the new york times retrieves from arcane tomes to describe it; "engaging in bawdy acts," "accepting off-color invitations," "executing ribald errands" all on the table

I'm a big baseball fan. My heroes can't hurt me anymore. As a Nats fan, the winning pitcher in G7 of the World Series is a conspiracy theorist who played golf with Trump. Our catcher hugged Trump on camera. And the guy who hit one of the biggest HRs in WS history is a Blacks For Trump guy. I'm OK.
I want to lay down a few markers here for folks as the clock starts ticking down to the release of the Epstein Files.

1) You are going to learn about a lot more disgusting and sickening things people said, joked about and maybe even did. You will likely be disappointed in someone you had admired

Just like the right feared a permanent Obama coalition of black, latino, working class and increasingly white suburbanites not that long ago. This stuff changes, and that's healthy for a functional democracy. MAGA is not healthy for a functional democracy, so let's hope this is right.
One year ago, Trump and the GOP were bragging about a permanent Trump coalition. Democrats were in a panic about Trump's gains with Latinos, young men, and other parts of our base.

Today, that coalition looks on the verge of collapse. Here's why:

Is Trump’s Coalition Falling Apart Faster Than Anyone Expected?
A year after Trump’s “new coalition” shocked the political world, it’s falling apart. Young men, Latinos, and reluctant 2024 Trump voters are bailing — fast.

The one "conspiracy theory" I believe to be true is that Al Gore won Florida (and thus the election) in 2000. If I die and can ask some all-knowing deity anything, this would be my question. I am nearly certain that if a legit recount took place, Gore would have won.
i'm watching the 2008 HBO movie RECOUNT about the 2000 presidential election like i'm mark wahlberg talking about 9/11. "yeah if i had been there, gore woulda been president"

My college and NFL teams have lost 12 straight games combined. Neither is exactly a juggernaut but I doubt this has ever happened. No end in sight for either team. Could get to like 20 losses in a row combined. I have not enjoyed the fall.

you could fact check this — there aren’t 30 million illegal immigrants and there is no evidence that the presence of an immigrant in say houston has any impact on housing in madison, wisconsin — or you could note straightforwardly that this is just nazi rhetoric
JD Vance: "A lot of young people are saying housing is way too expensive. Why is that? Because we flooded the country with 30 million illegal immigrants who were taking houses that ought by right go to American citizens."

no see using these photos would be beneath the Times, which would never take material from a dubious source, unless it was, say, hacked documents showing that a guy born in Africa had put 'African-American' on his application form for a university he didn't get into. You know, something important.
Can we circle back to the part where the NY Times never disclosed that they have incriminating information on Donald Trump from sent by Epstein that's been sitting on their email servers for nearly a decade?
Stuff like this makes me wonder why there hasn't been any reporting about Trump having affairs during his presidencies

I think I have settled on:

- She is actually kinda smart, more so than we thought.
- The crazy MAGA lady bit was very effective for her, but she knows Trump is in bad health/MAGA is winding down.
- She's getting ahead of it and pivoting to a more traditional conservative character.

Maybe this is better in the long run. The Democratic version of the Tea Party movement is much needed and I was worried last week's great election cycle might prevent that. But no, it's clear these people are spineless and must be replaced.

We’re not going to “fix the Democrats’ brand” by doing TikToks or launching pods. The brand is a direct reflection of our elected officials. If we want to purge our weak branding, we have to purge the weak Dems. I’m looking forward to a robust primary cycle and new Democrats who know how to fight.

Man this feels good. Despite not being a super red district by any means, the GOP has had a relentless hold here. Again, only one Dem has been elected (one term) since Ronald Reagan’s first term.
Democrats Andrew Macurdy and Vinnie Kearney have flipped both seats in New Jersey's 21st Legislative District, unseating Assemblywomen Nancy Muñoz and Michele Matsikoudis
