This is French skier Leo Slemett and his LED-lighted equipment on the summit of the Aiguille du Midi. Leo is a Chamognard, that is, a resident of Chamonix-Mont-Blanc, which is in the Alps at the foot of Mont Blanc. It's an ancient center of mountaineering and skiing.

Such snowfalls this winter covered the commune of Campo di Giove in the Abruzzo region. Meteorologists were shocked, to say the least. But for the locals, the snow became a gift during Christmas.

In Holland, children are congratulated not by Santa Claus, but by Sinterklaas. And he does it not on New Year's Eve, but on his own day - December 5. The day before he arrives on a ship from Spain, and then jumps on the roofs, enters houses through chimneys and leaves gifts in children's shoes.

The timelapse was filmed in the mountains in the Kimgau region of southeastern Germany, in Bavaria. For the sake of these shots, we had to spend the night on a snowy peak. But it was definitely worth it!
