I've been to nearly every #GoogleIO and I'm still getting excited the night before. Can't wait to see old friends, help introduce some new things, and have great conversations about innovation and technology.

I'm a big fan of static site generation. I use Jekyll with Firebase Hosting (it can also be used with GitHub), but same paradigm. This post makes me want to check out Astro as well, @puf.io !
I use Astro for puf.io. From markdown files it generates a static site that I host on GitHub Pages.
Sometimes I include inbound redirects (e.g. old URLs) in the .md, but Pages doesn't support custom HTTP status codes like 301.

Astro SSG: handling redirects on GitHub Pages
I use Astro to generate a fully static site from content in Markdown files, that I then host on GitHub Pages. I want to provide incoming links/aliases inside my Markdown files, but GitHub Pages doesn't support custom 301 redirect responses. Read the full article to learn how I work around this limitation.
