OMB last week released some more info on the FY26 budget request (though not for DoD). But we get the NNSA request. And...Woah, Nellie.

The "base" weapons activities request is $20.74 billion. Plus $4.8 billion more in assumed reconciliation resources. Total: $24.856 billion.

The IRS was a simple test for DOGE: was it really interested in efficiency and state capacity? If so, you support the tax enforcement, the biggest ROI in govt.
