Alright, y’all. I need some help. Of course that’s Karate Champ in the background, but what’s the game to it’s left?

May 3, 1985. Not June 5th.

That is the day. I’m absolutely positive.
I'm confident that FBDO took place in May, not June like most people accept based on a baseball game. Now I've narrowed it down to a specific date -- a detail founded in visible evidence from the film. Take a look at my full account of "The Date Debate" here: www.ferrisfile.com/2024/06/the-...

You’re welcome, internet.
Pardon my French, but…

How many of your friends who work in education are spending their first day or summer break watching Purple Rain and editing scans of old He-Man magazines?

Just me?

Cool.

I *literally* had to dust off my microphone for this one.
New Episode! Inspired by the 2001 sitcom Emeril, @michaelmay.bsky.social, @spidey004.bsky.social, @stormspeed.bsky.social, and @timlybarger.com assign each other similarly unlikely celebrities to build sitcoms around.

It's no secret that Ferris Bueller had two more younger siblings in addition to Jeanie. But other than a few children's drawings in the Bueller kitchen and a family photo in Mr. Bueller's office, very little is known about these mysterious siblings. More here...

Was anybody else up at 4am plotting chronological points on a map for each camera shot in the Ferris Bueller parade scene?

No? Just me?

Cool.

Six years ago today, I was visiting my dad and took this picture of a Southern Illinois sunset behind the house where I grew up.

This is a hill I'm willing to (figuratively) die on.
Time to stir up some 80s controversy.

Most people, thanks to a 2011 Baseball Prospectus article, believe Ferris Bueller's Day Off took place on June 5, 1985.

Most people are wrong.

Since migrating to bluesky, I've been sharing some of the Ferris File "greatest hits" before getting back to new content. If you're not following the Ferris File, I'd love to have you do so! But at the very least, this one linked below is worth your while! 👊
Charlie Sheen's character in Ferris Bueller's Day Off has a name. And a pretty dark backstory. Check out these details on Garth Volbeck and his family! www.ferrisfile.com/2024/05/the-...
