You won't be surprised to hear that I think we in the UK need more #compute capacity (and thanks to colleagues in DSIT we are well on the way to delivering on that need). What I'm still trying to figure out is whether bigger is always better?

If you’re interested in #R&D + #science spending by #government then read this - allocations for @ukri.org announced last week for 25/26 including confirmation that (my very own) Dept is picking up responsibility for some programmes in #advancedmanufacturing

Today, the Science and Technology Secretary, Peter Kyle, confirmed how UK Research and Innovation’s (UKRI) budget will be allocated to all UKRI’s councils and key programmes.
