I think OKC’s historic defense and MVP gets them there with relative ease, not so confident about the Cavs. But that’s who I want the the match-up to be. OKC is like 33-3 when one of their two bigs plays. And they haven’t even seen how they play together. It’s cheat mode stuff.

I wonder if the new CBA is going to make trades like this (talent-for-talent) much more common than what we are accustomed to (prospects + cap filler + picks for talent).

Houston fans love to boast that Presti made a bad decision by giving up Sengun, but if you look at how Presti has built this team and Sengun’s development, it’s easy to see why he wasn’t very high on his board. If you can’t play D at a high level, you can’t play for the Thunder.

My not-so-hot hot take is that the Wolves will get home court and will end up with a better record, & better postseason than NY. All the hand wringing will seem silly. Still a slight regression from last season as expected, but still top 4 in the west with a chance to beat anybody not named OKC.
