On October 29 @USACEHQ approved Enbridge's plans to reroute the aging Line 5 oil pipeline, a move that would put wetlands and fragile Great Lakes ecosystems in harms way.

Over 50 people showed up last week to hear an update on the damage to the Line 3 corridor in MN from drone pilot Bee Kakac!

We need our state agencies to do better -- not only in monitoring and holding Enbridge accountable for damage, but preventing it by not allowing pipelines through our waters.

One of these "oil majors" is Enbridge, which operates its massive Mainline pipeline system throughout the Upper Midwest and is seeking to rebuild/expand Line 5 in Wisconsin and Michigan.

During the Line 3 pipeline review process in MN, our state agencies seemed to have this idea that "someone else" would consider the climate impacts -- that the responsibility couldn't be on THEM. Surprise: there is no magical climate superhero coming to save us! It's on us all.
